I'm Jackson Yu. I do both software development and AI research for biology.

I think ideas are the most important thing. Everyone has good ones, though, so the hard and interesting part is validating them and building products that genuinely help people. That's the work I want to do.

One thing I find especially exciting is what AI can do for human health. AlphaFold showed how far its reach can go, and I keep looking for where the next breakthrough will be, like Google's SensorFM and its move toward a general model for wearable health data.

Outside of that, I'm also a swimming and skiing instructor.
